Authority should come with unadulterated fear night and day until relinquished, not a magical free license to end the life of anybody. Cops and soldiers and their political handlers all deserve solitary confinement the rest of their time on Earth for even presuming the right exists. Until police lose authority over life/death their fiefdoms strive to pillage, permitting annual token offerings to string along bleeding hearts. Just with civil asset forfeiture alone they can afford retirement, therapy and have money left over for the Alex Jones penis enlargement pills. Without getting into the likelihood of their fiefdoms being the largest domestic traffickers of sex, drugs and arms in national history. The DoD makes war manifest and the DoJ makes injustice manifest and people keep voting and paying taxes like 15 minutes ago never happened. Society believes there’s some good form of entrapment, exploitation or extortion; privately, we pray for salvation of friendly fire. While power corrupts irrefutably there is no such thing as a good authoritarian. Hospitals nationwide should be crowded with cops choking on their badges and bullets. We are expected to buy the bullshit from police and politicians that the only way they can help is with us granting them authority over our lives, when the most assistance any of us have known in our respective lives always comes from people as fucked as ourselves.
If billfolds of any administration believed “All men are created equal” then PACs, SuperPACs and lobby groups would have no place inside democratic law, much less such high standing with emoluments out the ass being cheaper on their self-interest than taxation or accountability. The more people, places and things one’s wiling to sacrifice of the world around them for the enrichment of their own esteem, the more madly the western world praises them as heroic. Good intentions never actually necessitate costuming, lip-service or license to kill. My GED wrote a comic book and I still get that.
But when there’s no separation of Church and State, those not sharing in the advertising are inevitably denied legal human rights. Any politic or religion free from accountability is a con and proponents can go directly to hell without passing go or collecting $200 for their monopoly. The US Federal government gives yearly loads to the Israeli government, but separately so too do most state governments, gifting more to foreign enterprise than most people are aware. Kentucky gives more to a superpower with free healthcare, a space program and nukes than invests toward their own shelters for women and children. Ideological gated communities block out just as much reality as do the physical variants, opposition to diversity of experience backing themselves into a corner of an ending with incest and monopoly and tunnel vision as the only options ultimately left. Smiting thine enemies is the stuff of ancient cultures who believed themselves formed of clay. If supposedly evolved descendants cannot trust nature to Bogart ultimate power over life and death, why instead trust something as immaterial as ego with the selectively presumptive entitlement?
Realistically, domestic cops committing wrongs trained by Israeli military will undergo paid vacations masked as suspension while reform will come by way of budget increases. Aside from the annual token offering, to deflect the hundreds of other incidents of death by cop since the last betokening. Even the Cato institute stopped documenting every example of police crime around the country because their millions in funding was not enough for all the manpower necessary. I promise you in the last calendar year alone what your city granted in paid suspensions and out of court settlements is likely more money than you or I will see in a decade, but I’m sure they’re always on the lookout for fresh voices to help swing public relations. No matter how justified the frustrating anger we feel for police so predictably and obsessive-compulsively validating our distrust, let them live to suffer this world redemption or not. Although if even the modicum of consequences are unseemly for them, then they need to relinquish their imaginary authority over life and death.
Racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, militarism and Capitalism are all just tools for ego to achieve sacrifice by others for enrichment of its own esteem, but nobody accepts ego as the root because all wish to pardon their own and those they hope will service their self-interest. When no supremacy can justify itself without others having lesser rights, resources and opportunities than its own, then every supremacy is a fantasy of self-dependence. Strength isn’t the propensity for crippling others, it’s enduring without the idealized need for it. The reality is that nobody anywhere is special, much less supreme. If we see that in ourselves we set ourselves up for tribulation. If we see it in others, that is no less subjective than love itself, and certainly no grounds to be mandated as conviction by all passersby. I’d say all those feeling threatened by the on again, off again race riots of this country seem to believe that failure to have the upper hand is by any stretch the same as subjugation. Everyone wants to place inconvenience or discomfort as lethal opposition to their well-being. Survival never actually rests on keeping one’s ego from getting bruised. Humility has no end. It’s always the villain insisting sacrifice is the obligation of others, especially when it’s ourselves thinking pride or comfort are even remotely necessary for our survival. If the life you want doesn’t correlate in a world where the most intrinsic basic human right is self-determination by all, then what you want is denied by the natural cause and effect of reality, not by those suffering thoughts and feelings of their own.
Self-determination is the most fundamental of basic human rights, and the most extreme form of denying that right is by ending someone’s life. Incarceration should exist only for those incapable of being around others without committing such arrogant harm. All of our issues privately and publicly would vanish were society a collective of persons bent on not killing one another, our only societal obligation should be to help everybody everywhere survive, but with any requirement beyond that taken as clear violation of our own self-determination. Neither love or respect are matters that can ever be owed by anyone to anyone and only the most vile persons insist to the contrary. The livelihood and well-being of nobody should ever be taken as expendable elements to some ego’s competition for comforts or glory. Welcoming ourselves to engage privileges or entitlements or luxuries while anybody is starving or homeless, should forfeit our self-determination. Either we collectively endorse the reality that any life holds more value and purpose than all the wealth of the world, or we turn a blind eye to all the people made expendable for ego’s bemusement.
The egos have spoken, and everyone I’ve ever known counts among their number, for ever entertaining an authority beyond their gourds.
