The boy scout element is the most unrealistic trait about Superman, when power NOT corrupting is the real fantasy. Captain Marvel can be the big cheese, but Supes requires moral clarity, that is what sets him above the rest. Not having all the answers but not being conflicted about his part. No doubt legal will always want to avoid any religious connotations and studios would go to lengths to avoid a white savior insinuation, but the character doesn’t need to be the leader or the most powerful to set an example. We don’t need power or authority to do good. “No, clansmen at this tailgating field party, it took each and every last American to make America as great as she was, and it took each and every last American to make her as deranged.”
