Three simple steps for ending gun violence in the USA, strangely never proffered by liberals or conservatives:
1) Follow through with the actual wording of the 2nd Amendment and regulate all wannabe militias.
2) Each and every time one of these opportunities to copy/paste thoughts/prayers occurs, mandate for each and every private gun-owner in that county failing to protect their community to forfeit each and every gun and each and every bullet in their keep, to be dismantled and/or smelted for usage in repairing bridges nationwide physically and metaphorically.
3) No buts.
I think the framers meant the 2nd as either/or, a government-sanctioned military or a well-regulated militia of the people, and personally I would love for all the self-avowed gun-owners upset with foreign policies to fly out to the Middle East on their own dime and sort things out. They might see firsthand how the extremists there are only the regional Alex Jones fanboy equivalents, at least those not paid by American diplomats, with ephemeral concepts like god and country holding more importance than the very peoples expected to instill such symbols with meaning. Then maybe they could all get over their inferiority complexes together and just go bowling or something. Whereas genuine leftists climb clock-towers to fire one up and never to fire one off, patriotism today is measured by the eagerness to see fellow Americans suffer, with no sense of irony and in every regard:
How dare anybody need life-saving free universal healthcare, or life-saving pandemic masks to be utilized! How dare immigrants, migrants and refugees have nowhere to go, and oh, how the homeless dare to exist! How dare anybody require traditional welfare as though a governance malformed from managing resources for all parties to generating profits for the select would be unethical or immoral! How dare the masses object to dying in wars, or to being blown into smithereens by the most patriotic of their own neighborhoods!
Civilians are easily destabilized by what sadomasochists perceive as their rightful and prideful pursuit of happiness being guaranteed, religiously trumping the actual guarantees for everybody else to life and liberty, and as long as that’s catered nobody has any logical or ethical reason for possessing the means to end life preternaturally. We have to stop indulging egos.
A fun related theory. The insider support in DC for the attempted insurrection of the US Capitol on January 6 of this year, the very ones who gave tours to select outsiders in the days prior and who dismantled the panic buttons of select senators in the hours prior, were really expecting more gun-play on that fateful day, in full denial that gun-owners are inherently the most cowardly among the population. The lone reason more rioters did not bring their toys was that they were all expecting someone, anyone else to do the heavy lifting. Where BLM protestations were about fellow Americans not wanting their lives impeded or their inalienable rights imposed upon by self-serving psychopaths, the Capitol riots were about self-serving psychopaths insisting that impeding lives and imposing upon the inalienable rights of fellow Americans was their entitled privilege. Sure, Presidential administrations are more than their spokesmodel and the only thing honestly separating the two political parties are their bank routing numbers, but smearing feces on walls is absolutely worth some responsive hysterics, as are DC badges quitting by the dozens in the brief time since.
Most of the attendees were obviously witless cannon fodder and human shields for the Oath-Keepers, 3-Percenters and Boys both Proud and Boogaloo organized by and for Capitol insiders. Yet still mass media indulges the patriotic voices wishing to pin all blame on antifa as though an anti-establishment mentality would be working with any elements of that establishment. Persons predisposed to hiding their very own accountability or responsibilities underneath symbols of god and country accuse imaginary leftists of burning neighborhoods, when the only neighborhoods burned in recorded history were by god and country freaks torching dozens of Phillie homes with illegal napalm of the mid-1980s, god and country freaks leveling dozens of blocks of Black Wall Street with firebombs in the 1920s and god and country freaks torching San Francisco’s Chinatown in the 1870s. With each and every culprit riotously evading any actual charges by either political party’s most concerned talking heads. Idiots believing the marketing that protestors of lethal force are magically the ones displaying acts of lethal force while never catching the contradictions of the accusatory pathology they religiously follow. Though representing less than one-eighth of the ballot box nationally, their enablers allow for such shocking levels of stupidity to be platformed, for the symbology sheltering them is the symbology sheltering the national identity itself running altogether on human enslavement of body, mind and soul. I mean, gullibility alone somehow doesn’t come close to summarizing what little they are willing or able to offer the world around them. What grave misfortune, how the terminology of pathetic only holds so many connotations. At best, this swathe of the population are unreliable fantasists. At their increasingly enlivened worst, they are murderers.
So much of the early Q stuff really was just the matter of trying to justify misspellings and mispronunciations by Trump. Believers figured it happened so regularly that it just had to all be some sorta code, because nobody could possibly be that idiotic and still remember how to breathe. It’s like DIY marketing, trying desperately to sell themselves on the idea that they hadn’t made a huge mistake in life direction. The difference between the insurrectionists/Qanon and Frankenstein’s monster is that the monster in the end was willing to leave everyone alone for the blessed sake of being left alone.
