Truth defines itself by its lack of subjectivity, as the natural world exists free from the need to be up for interpretations, or down for praise.
I’m thinking, I doubt human shields really exist as a thing anymore outside of every personality cult. When news media and political figures project the term upon foreigners it’s surely their slang for innocent bystanders, after American weapons mistook yet another population center of civilians minding their own for a battlefield. This may read as alien to domestic sensitivities, but my years inform me that it is a distinctly modern and specifically American trait to so broadly, so mindlessly accept a one-sided narrative of their own free will. Prior to this full-time deployment of for-profit and most definitely military-grade psychological programs infused into social networks aplenty via paid-for access over user experience itself, beyond USA borders and encompassing its own ancestry most folks by and large had to be pushed or pulled into believing nonsense, feeding on bile. For example Artificial Intelligence, regardless of application or profiteer, is just the latest variation of the Arrogant guiding the Ignorant, and predictably so, those artists and news readers and influencers taking to it the most are the very ones who will have their lives more devastated by it. And thus are fandoms of personality cult memberships sharing the same proclivity as AI enthusiasts, insects giving their all to what burns them. Every occasion where any competing partisan publicly proclaims the virtues of American independence, it’ll always be a case of ventriloquism, and taken in by uneven ears who by all accounts seem eager for a hand up their own.
